It was really overwhelming at first. A plain, fresh install of WordPress doesn’t have half of what you see going on here at 2phatgeeks–You’ve got to start looking for a theme that suits you and plug-in’s to make it a bit more accessable to people who read and might want to comment.

For instance: these threaded comments? They’re a wonderful plug-in called Brain’s Threaded Comments.

It’s also recommended that you try and self-host if you can. You’ll get more customizations and control over your own blog.

It isn’t easy, but I like the fact Shawn and I can blog together and that we can reach more people and do more “neat stuff” with it.
