Computers & Internet

I’m not getting paid for this, folks. This is honest to goodness opinion.

As I was mentioning in an earlier post today, I won the chance to be reviewed by both The University Kid and The WWW Observer.

Admittedly, being the n00blet in the field of self-hosted blogs, I hadn’t “met” The WWW Observer yet. I hadn’t had the chance to sit down and read some very sound advice on how to turn your blog into a decent source of extra income and still offer quality content.

Surprisingly enough, The WWW Observer is giving away $100. Sure, for some big wigs in the field, that’s not a lot of cash. Hell, that can be a single review of an advertising spot on some to-do blogs out there. For the rest of us who are wondering what part of their soul they’re going to have to sell to make ends meet, an extra $100 goes a long way. This is quite a generous give away, and all that’s asked of you in return is blog about the contest, link back to the post and try out a subscription.

Why should you subscribe? The WWW Observer’s got some sane, solid advice. It’s well written and it’s not chalk full of tech jargon that you can’t understand, or leaves you feeling like you’re being spoken down to. There are also several clear, concise articles on how to monetize your blog or how to earn a little cash on the side–so many excellent reasons to subscribe right there.

At any rate, I highly recommend a visit. If you do, say hello and tell them elf_fu sentcha.
